Signal Engineer

Calibre Engenium is a leading specialist railway engineering and project management company with a number of large scale rail construction projects and exciting plans for further expansion.

We are seeking applications from highly motivated and eager individuals to fill the role of Signal Engineer.

The role involves:
  • Ensures all rail signal engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices.
  • Prepares preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all rail signal engineering project work and ensures project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
  • Ensures all rail signal engineering project work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepares documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitors regimes in respect of work on or around rail signal engineering projects.
To be successful in this role the applicant would possess:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or extensive experience in railway signalling works at a sub-professional level.
  • Qualifications and experience sufficient to qualify for full membership of the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (preference will be given to applicants with full membership of the IRSE).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a project engineering office designing railway signalling works for large engineering, rail and infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen in the engineering and construction environment.
